What is Chicabike?

While you can find hundreds of games about men's cycling on the internet, women's cycling seems completely forgotten.  Three years ago, we came up with the idea of creating a game about the cycling world of women, and Chicabike was born.  The concept of the game is almost the same as the concept of Gigabike, a game about men's cycling, and our 'bigger brother'.  In 2003, 2004 and 2005 our Chicabike website was in Dutch which resulted in a rather small amount of participators, but from 2006 on, we will try to reach a wider audience by using the English language.

Our participators from the past will see that nothing really has been changed, and new participators will surely have mastered the rules in no time.

Each participant creates a team of 15 riders, with a budget of 3.500 CQ. In the most important races of the season your riders then gather points and the biggest connoisseur will gain the title of Chicabike champion 2006!

Chicabike runs from the end of February until October.  To make the game even more attractive you will be able to change your team on 3 moments during the season, during the so-called transfer periods.  On these moments you can change up to 3 riders from your team for 3 fresh ladies.  Thanks to these transfers you can take account of the events in the ladies peloton.

The Chicabike calendar

All major races on the international women's calendar are on the Chicabike calendar as well.  This year our calendar consists of all races of categories World Cup, 1.1 and 2.1, plus the World Championships Time Trial and Road Race.

Participation is completely free.  Therefore we can not offer any prizes, but joy and honour are inmeasurable!

Registration is quite easy.  Mail your data to this address and we will send you a password to login on our "team selection pages". You find more about the procedure here.

Organisation

The technical side of Chicabike rests on the shoulders of Mark Vanderwegen and Peter Samoy.  Filip Mas and Jasper Van Hoof are responsible for processing the information and the reporting.
